Yes, our office is by appointment only.  We work very hard to schedule your pet for the earliest available appointment that works for your schedule.  If you feel that your pet's ocular condition is urgent, and the available appointment is not soon enough to address the urgency of your pet's ocular changes, please be sure to send our team a message so we may gather more information and work to try to figure out the best option for you and your pet.

We treat and perform surgery on animals with ophthalmic conditions as well as examinations for breeding (OFA exams).

A veterinary ophthalmologist is a veterinarian who has graduated usually from an accredited veterinary school and become a Doctor of Veterinary Medicine a well as passed the national board exam in veterinary medicine.  They then go on to complete a general rotating internship for at least one year followed by a three-year (or more) ophthalmology residency.  Board certification is awarded to the veterinary ophthalmologist by passing an examination with many parts, depending on when the exam was offered, possibly including written, surgical, practical and pictorial identification portions. Once this exam is passed the candidate is a Diplomate of the American College of Veterinary Ophthalmology (DACVO).
